Boardwalk was asked to create a distinct branding system – a graphic vocabulary of logos, patterns, icons, fonts, colors – that may be shared with The Simpsons’ international roster of licensees to support a yearlong series of events worldwide.
The graphics had to be based on the illustrative style of The Simpsons, yet be sufficiently distinct so as to give the promotion its own look.
Since Simpsons trivia competitions played a large role in the events, Boardwalk created an array of color-coded collectible pins; yellow for questions, red for answers. Attendees were encouraged to collect and swap.
In addition to the branding system, Boardwalk supported the licensees by designing banners, packaging, point-of-purchase displays, posters and an entire array of merchandise.
